Barnaby specializes in reality capture and existing conditions documentation, transforming physical spaces into precise digital records that support the design process. With a background in hospitality operations and a strong attention to detail, he brings a practical understanding of how buildings function in the real world. 

As Existing Conditions Surveyor at GDS-Designs, Barnaby leads the firm’s reality capture and site documentation efforts. Using advanced 3D scanning and LiDAR technology, he produces detailed virtual walkthroughs, point clouds, and schematic floor plans that provide the design team with highly accurate site information. His work enables remote collaboration, supports precise digital modeling in Revit and CAD platforms, and helps reduce construction surprises by ensuring the team begins each project with reliable existing-conditions data.

Barnaby holds a Master of Liberal Arts (A.L.M.) in International Relations from Harvard University’s Harvard Extension School, where he completed a capstone in National Security. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a major in International Relations from Stonehill College.
