A Vision for Community Wellness

The project originated from a vision to create a dedicated space for health-conscious gathering and nutritional education. The client sought to establish a physical anchor for the brand that reflects its core values of vitality and connection, requiring a space that felt both professional and approachable.

Scope of Project

Our design intervention focused on a “Best-in-Class” retail execution, transforming the 1,180 sq/ft footprint into a high-utility wellness studio:

• Interior Architectural Design: Full-service fit-out, including custom millwork and space planning for guest social zones.

• Operational Optimization: Specialized layout for back-of-house nutrition prep and front-of-house guest interaction.

• Technical Documentation: Delivery of a comprehensive “Final CD” set for permitting and construction.

The primary challenge lay in maximizing the utility of a relatively compact footprint to accommodate both high-volume nutritional prep and a comfortable social environment. Our design team had to engineer a solution that managed complex MEP requirements for the BOH equipment while maintaining a sleek, airy atmosphere for visitors.

Design Execution

Our team implemented a “Responsive-Retail” framework to align the brand’s mission with the physical space:

• Zoned Socialization: The floor plan was strategically oriented to encourage community interaction, featuring a mix of high-top seating and lounge areas that support both quick pickups and longer stays.

• High-Efficiency Prep: We engineered the BOH nutrition bar for maximum throughput, utilizing custom millwork to keep prep tools accessible but tucked away to maintain a clean guest-facing aesthetic.

• Technical Rigor: The project involved intensive MEP coordination to support specialized equipment loads, ensuring the “Rise N Grind” experience remains seamless during peak hours.

• Atmospheric Clarity: A precision-planned lighting scheme was developed to highlight key brand elements and create a bright, optimistic environment that reflects the brand’s “listen first” and “design with intention” philosophy.

The result is a premier wellness destination that anchors Berlin with a bold, contemporary presence. By pairing technical documentation with a deeply collaborative design process, Rise N Grind stands as a testament to our ability to turn a brand vision into a high-performance built reality.
