Modern Luxury Meets High-Security Design

The architectural challenge for this project involved the extensive renovation of an existing two-story structure to house the new headquarters for Wright Jewelry & Design Co. The project required a sophisticated balance between a welcoming, high-end retail environment and the rigorous technical demands of a secure jewelry operation.

The design intervention focused on a comprehensive spatial program across the ground floor and partial second floor:

• Secure Entry & Retail Flow: The design features a new secure entrance vestibule leading into a 1,362-square-foot retail showroom, anchored by custom-positioned display cases and a specialized "Diamond Room" for private consultations.

• Specialized Infrastructure: The program integrates high-security elements, including a reinforced vault and a dedicated shop room for jewelry repair and design, alongside essential staff areas and a gender-neutral ADA-compliant restroom.

• Architectural Refinements: Beyond the structural layout, the scope included the demolition and refinishing of existing floor surfaces, selective ceiling repainting, and the installation of new high-efficiency interior and exterior lighting fixtures.

• Permit & Compliance Excellence: The Construction Set provided meticulous documentation to meet the 10th Edition Massachusetts State Building Code and 521 CMR Accessibility regulations.

The result is a flagship retail space that honors the heritage of the Hudson location while providing a state-of-the-art environment for luxury retail and craft.
